As a multi-instrumentalist with a wide music taste, I'm happy to put together bands that fit the events I'll perform at. I'm very flexible instrumentation and band size wise to cater the best experience for each unique event in ways that are still artistic and expressive. I love playing Brazilian 70's music, my originals and soul, rock and 2000's classics with my mellow tone added to them.
Nathan Dies is a multi instrumentalist, singer songwriter and producer from São Paulo, Brazil, currently based in Brooklyn, NY. They fuse their cultural background from acapela prayers to popular Brazilian music and early 2000’s Pop to create an expressive mix of dreamy plastic synths with acoustic instruments.
Nathan’s career started in the Brazillian Indie Rock scene performing in multiple venues and festivals with band Bacos, before studying at Berklee College of Music, where they adopted orchestral instruments, art pop and playful experimental sounds into their distinct aesthetic.
Since their move to Brooklyn in 2020, Nathan released their debut record Instinto in August of 2021 with Brazilian label Rockambole. It has over 25,000 streams, was placed on Spotify’s Divina MBP and Indie Brasil editorial playlists and received press reviews from critics and blogs such as Monkeybuzz, Diego Pinheiro, Hominis Canidae and more. Over the past year Nathan’s audience has grown as they played dozens of live shows in NYC at venues such as Nublu, Elsewhere, Mercury Lounge, Cutting Room and the NedNomad, and collaborating with a number of other emerging artists and producers locally and internationally. Between their work as a sound engineer at the NedNomad club (mixing shows and events for artists as Drake, Kid Cudi, Miguel, Busta Rhymes, IceSpice, Samara Joy) and performing their solo project in the alternative New York scene, Brazilian singer/producer Nathan Dies is currently working in their second album.
