I drum in various styles e.g., Jazz, Funk, Hip-Hop, Classical, Blues, Gospel, R&B/Soul, Rock/Metal, and some Afro-Beat. I have over 10 years of experience on stage, starting as a vocalist in a choir, heading to a marching band, playing in duets, with classical ballet dancers, hand percussion for dance instructors, and hold knowledge in music theory and at intermediate level in reading music. I've also done studio sessions for a few musicians, mostly in Jazz and Rock.
I had some entertainment fall through last minute and I was looking specifically for a drummer who could improvise and work the crowd in unison with a DJ followed by an automated playlist. I read PrimSlim's bio and loved his "why" of being a performer. After seeing a few clips of him, I knew I had to book him right away. He was the ultimate professional, we discussed rates, he was flexible on timing, and on the night of the event, he showed up early, interacted with guests, checked in consistently to make sure he was doing what we needed, and was a perfect addition to night with his improvised drumming to every genre and song. There are going to be plenty of parties ahead and I'm certain he'll be a part of many of them.
Response from PrimSlim Drums:
Thanks for the kind words Vipin! I appreciate the time we spent together. It was rewarding to see everyone dancing, hearing countless familiar songs, and having a crowd of different cultures in the same room. A resplendent way to start off the New Years! To the future brother. ;)

Depending on the style of music I'd be hired for, I always dress in attire that speaks for the nature of the music e.g., casual for Rock, suit and tie for Jazz and Classical (depending on the work environment, and smart casual in most other scenarios.
I've accrued great social skills over the years working in various industries. I like to feel relatable to people everywhere I go, even if that means learning some basics of their native tongue. For example, I learned Spanish up to intermediate for 3 years, and nearly two at beginner level in Mandarin.
I'm a musician with a love for many instruments, although drums is my primary go-to. My experience on stage of 10+ years has instilled confidence, knowledge and education about professional musicianship. My exposure to various styles of music has put me on a good run to becoming a better musician. I have worked with dancers, vocalists, studio experts, composers and producers. My goal is to become a mentor and open up a drum workshop one day in New York City, where I'm from. Being from this part of the United States has made me a great musician, and I only want to give to communities the same love and mentorship I received along my journey--which is still ongoing.
Depending on the environment, weather conditions (if a gig were to take place outside), I always consider alternatives just in case of any unpredictable directions that could interfere with the planning process. Musicians I play with are well-versed in stage operations, while I know the basics of a proper set up. I'm always with musicians on stage that show exceed expectations and are reliable in this field. And any equipment ever needed is already on hand by us. If not, we are already informing our client ahead of time prior to the event.
