Tudo Beleza - Brazil Samba Dance Co.

Tudo Beleza has been performing in and around the Seattle area since July 2007. We are available to perform at parties, nightclubs, restaurants, festivals and in stage shows. Tudo Beleza can easily tailor performances, costumes and music to fit a variety of events and venues. The company offers a wide range of performances, from 2-3 dancers with recorded music to full stage shows with live musicians. Audience participation can also be included with a 15-20 minute samba reggae workshop.

Our most typical package is 10-15 minutes of choreography (to recorded music) followed by a 5 minute song to get the audience dancing, and ending with 10 minutes of photos with audience members.

Tudo Beleza is a Seattle dance company that brings the creativity, energy and infectious enthusiasm of Brazil to the stage. Tudo Beleza is dedicated to bringing a slice of Brazilian culture to Pacific Northwest audiences, with vibrant dancing and colorful costumes that invoke the spirit of Carnaval.

Tudo Beleza specializes in the fast-paced and exciting Rio-Style Samba, and also performs other traditional forms of Brazilian dance, such as Samba-Reggae, Axé, and Pagode Samba. Tudo Beleza also draws from the varied cultural experiences of its members – infusing choreography with Latin American, African and North American flavors. Company dancers have studied dance both in Brazil and the United States, and are experienced performers.

“Tudo Beleza” is a colloquial Brazilian Portuguese phrase that means “everything’s great” or “everything’s cool.” Literally translated as “all beauty,” it captures the Brazilian spirit of joy, optimism and appreciation of beauty – in music, dance and life!

TECHNICAL

In order to provide the best possible show for your event Tudo Beleza will need the following:

• An adequate sound system with CD or MP3 player, as well as providing someone to run the sound system and start/stop music as needed

• Elevated stage or staging area that is a minimum size of 16' in depth and 24' in width.
- Risers should be at least 12” in height. (Generally 12” for every 100 people).
- Pipe and drape backdrop to accommodate the width of the stage.
- Minimum lighting requirements - - a good wash on the stage.

Tudo Beleza performers also require a dressing room. This excludes public restrooms and storage rooms. If a dressing room is not available on site, then a hotel room needs to be provided and pre-paid to use as a dressing room as close to the performing venue as possible. This is necessary to provide the Artists a place to change into costume, stretch, warm-up, and prepare for the performance.
